Objectives

The main objective of the present project is sustainable knowledge development of young people and such with many years of professional experience, especially women, living and working in structurally weak peripheral regions of South-Eastern Romania with target to reach a qualified job in the middle or top management of the textile and garment industry and to enable them to stay in their homeland with enhancing their poor life quality.

The specific objectives of the project are:

SO1. To contribute to keep intelligent people with thirst for knowledge, who are extremely useful for the national Romanian economy and especially for the development of the Textile and Garment industry in the South-Eastern part of Romania in their home country and to avoid emigration. Reaching this objective will be possible by organizing training sessions targeting skills improvement for organized labour (A2) , stimulating creative thinking with accent on high added value products (A3) and improvement of the managerial skills (A4). There will be a know how and knowledge transfer from the specialist hired by the Swiss partner, consultants with a good reputation for the textile and garment field and target group, especially to the employees in textile and garment industry (Indicator 1.2.1 – Number of min. 110 Romanian participants to the training programs).

We consider that, due to the knowledge level increasing and skills gaining in the current activity field, the personnel fluctuation from  the textile and garment industry due to emigration reasons can be stopped. (Indicator 1.1.1 – Decreasing with 10% of employees termination contracts in TCI from E Romania, from emigration reasons).

It is also expected to raise the applicant graduates employment rate due to the competences accumulated during study time with skills with immediate applicability in TC firms. (Indicator 1.1.2 – A number of 15 graduates employed in management positions in TCI). Traditionally the graduates are hired at first for jobs that don’t need experience and responsibility.

As resulted from the statistical analyse presented in chapter 2.1. Project justification, the high percentage of emigrants from the South East Region represents women. On the other hand more than 60% of the target group are women (Indicator 1.2.2.), so that it is expected to decrease the emigrants number from S-E Romania and a raising of the salary raising at the target group level.

 

SO2. To strengthen the self-confidence of people who don’t feel brave enough to take responsibility and to contribute to the development of their country in order to compensate the gap between life quality and standards in Switzerland and Romania.

Although reaching this objective is relatively difficult to evaluate, we think that it is of great importance to try and quantify the “well being mood” of the participants after the end of the project

By following the training courses (A2, A3 and A4) it will be possible that the employees will be promoted to superior positions due to skill and competence accumulation (Indicator 2.1.1 – min. 3 people moving into a higher position). The self-confidence will increase due to the active participation to the training sessions (Indicator 2.1.3 – Number of active participants to training programs, Indicator 2.2.2 – Number of active students participants to training programs) and due to the final evaluation results (Indicator 2.1.2 – Number of participants to training programs that pass the final evaluation, Indicator 2.2.1 – Number of students participants to training programs that pass the final evaluation).

SO3. To develop and secure the competitiveness of the enterprises of the textile and garment industry in South-Eastern Romania to provide sustainable high quality jobs for employees with a better future.

The real activities results are the economical effects, with implication on the improvement of the social environment and especially on the life quality (Indicator 3.1.1 – Number of new customers from EU,   Indicator 3.1.2 – Increasing of work efficiency in production lines / groups, Indicator 3.1.3 – Decreasing of number of returns because of quality reasons).
